Privacy statement
Last updated: 28 September 2026
You give me data when you fill in a form, talk to the sales assistant on this site or book a meeting. Below you can read which data that is, what I do with it and what your rights are. In short: I only use your data to help you, I never sell it and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who I am
The AI Sales Specialist is a trade name of de Best Digital BV, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 83250182. I am responsible for processing your data on this site. Questions? Email steven@aisalesspecialist.com.
What data I collect
- Contact details you enter yourself: name, company name and email address.
- Your choice on the homepage, for example Do it yourself, In-house or Full service.
- Your conversation with the sales assistant: what you tell it about your business and how you win customers, and the summary that comes out of it.
- Meetings you book through the booking link.
- Visitor statistics, only if you consent. I then see which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked, not who you are.
- Technical data such as your IP address, which servers and services need to run the site and prevent abuse.
What I use it for
- To send you the information you asked for, such as the course explanation or your second opinion.
- To send you a few follow up emails that go with it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To contact you when you ask me to or book a meeting.
- To improve the site and my offer based on statistics.
I do not use your data for any other purpose, and I never sell or rent it.
Legal basis
When you fill in a form or talk to the sales assistant, I process your data because you ask for it and give your consent. I only set statistics cookies with your consent through the cookie notice. I process technical data based on my legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and working. If you become a client, I process data to perform our agreement and to meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, through the unsubscribe link in an email, through Cookie settings or by emailing me.
Who else sees your data
I work with a few services that process your data on my behalf:
- MailerLite for sending email and storing contact details.
- Google for hosting this site (Firebase), the server behind the sales assistant and, only with your consent, Google Analytics.
- Anthropic, the maker of Claude, for the language model behind the sales assistant. What you type in the conversation is sent to Anthropic for that purpose.
- Microsoft for booking meetings.
Some of these services process data outside the European Union, for example in the United States. That only happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- Contact details and your choice: until you unsubscribe, or until two years after our last contact.
- Your conversation with the sales assistant: at most two years, then I delete it.
- Client data: as long as the law requires for financial records, usually seven years.
Cookies and browser storage
Without your consent this site sets no analytics cookies. I store your choice in the cookie notice in your own browser, so I do not have to ask you every time. After twelve months I ask again. To make forms work properly, the site can also briefly remember something in your browser; that disappears when you close the tab.
Your rights
You can always ask which data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or receive your data in a usable file. Email steven@aisalesspecialist.com. I respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
I take appropriate measures to protect your data. The site only runs over a secure connection, and access to the systems holding your data is limited to me.
Changes
If anything changes in how I handle your data, I update this page. At the top you can see when that last happened.
